Kitty never ventures too far. He usually stays in the house and looks out the door. When he is feeling brave he ventures out the door about 2 feet. When he is really brave he may go exploring...but of course this is not too often. Well, Spencer and I were out until about 12:00 a.m......MIDNIGHT gardening and it was a very nice night so we left the back door open to cool down the house. We were planting seeds and guess who came to visit?! Kitty. I was in shock and could not believe that Kitty had come all the way out the back door all the way to the garden. Mixie thought it was great chasing poor ol' Kitty. Kitty was meowing and running and loving the outdoor midnight gardening. Although he was sure to be the first back into the house because he has been locked out a time or two. haha

The First Tilling Job
Spencer bought a Rototiller (I have no idea how to spell it) and is so excited about gardening. He made our garden bigger than it was last year and just can not wait to grow our own vegetables. A gardening pilot with Kitty as a sidekick! Gotta Love It

The Newly Invented/Re-designed Bedroom Door
Well, I am not sure what I was thinking. I started the project without too much planning before hand. I usually like to plan things out before I do it. . . especially when I will have to look at it every day. So, I "scrapbooked" my bedroom door. There are no photos on the door yet but maybe soon. Take a look at the before and after photo of the door. Interesting huh?

ACT 3... Where is Taley?
Spencer and I took Taley for a run next to Spencer's school. Spencer always sees rabbits near the airport and we take Mixie over there to chase the rabbits. Taley has so much energy so we thought a run would get rid of it all. We were WRONG!!! Taley enjoyed running through the fields, she looked like a deer jumping through the alfalfa fields, it was pretty funny.

Mixie's new toy
Mixie loves her new toy. I think she loves it so much because it is almost as big as she is. I bought it for a dollar at a garage sale! The new toy is named bunny because if we called it Rabbit she would start running and hunting for a real rabbit. Bunny and Mixie get along great. They spend a lot of time outdoors together.
Spencer the cook
Spencer has been cooking a lot lately and I love it!!!! How many of you have seen your husband in the kitchen baking/cooking with an APRON??? Classic.
Spencer is a very good cook (He watches a lot of cooking shows on tv)

ACT 2......Can You Find Kitty?
Poor Kitty. Kitty is not handling the new dog Taley very well. Kitty is always hiding and very frightened. Taley has a very good nose and does try to hunt down Kitty. One day, I was doing some dishes and heard a noise from the other side of the house so I look up and see that my palm tree is moving. I investigate a little closer and find that Kitty has climbed my fake palm tree to try to find a safe spot. He had gotten so frightened of even being in the same room as the hunter Taley. I tried to remove Kitty but he had an extrememly firm grip on the tree. He tore up the tree a bit which I am not happy about. I felt angry, sad, and like laughing all at the same time. I was glad I was able to get it on camera because If I tried to tell Spencer what happened after he got home, he probably would not have believed me. The camera does not lie!

Congratulations Spencer!!!
Oh No!
Mixie does not know what to think if the new dog in the house. The new dog's name is Taley. We got Taley on sunday April 20th from Spencer's brother's friend. She is about 3 we think. Supposedly she is a pure breed weimaraner. Mixie and Taley have mixed feelings about one another. The door was torn up by Mixie as shown in picture. She tore it up when we left her home and took Taley. I feel bad for Mixie with the new dog. We thought Mixie would like someone to play with and stuff but I am not so sure anymore. We took Taley to the groomers because she was so dirty. I have a soft spot for Taley because I feel she was neglected by her previous owner. Her toenails were so long and the "quick" had grown out...I think her nails had never been trimmed before. She was pretty stinky....not sure if she had ever had a bath. The worst part is that her ears were black inside. The groomer cleaned most of it but thinks that the right ear has an infection and needs medical attention. Also, we think she may have allergies. So....we got ourselves into a mess! haha Ok, well I am overwhelemed with it and I am not laughing. Taley is kind of sweet though. Taley and Harley .... do not get along well. They fought at their first meeting. My mom does not want the dog around, she hopes we get rid of it soon. She says she will even reimburse me the money I paid to have her groomed if I will get rid of it. I can not take it back to the original owner though because I do not want her to be neglected again. I do not know what to do. Taley hates the camera. If I get it our she turns her head the opposite direction and will avoid me. Anyways, hopefully Spencer and I can decide what the best thing to do with her is.

Jan's Visit
Jan is a real good family friend who came down to stay for a couple weeks from Michigan. She did a lot of cooking while she was here....Yum Yum! She got to go for a Harley ride with my dad, she went for a rhino ride with me, she and I went shopping, and her and my mom had fun catching up as well. We are glad she came to visit.

My Donation
Before--------------------------- After
Yes, what you see is true. I cut all my hair off and donated it to Locks Of Love. I like it. It took me a long time to decide to actually follow through and cut it off. I think the change is good. My neck pain is not so bad anymore so I am excited about that. I think I lost 3 pounds in just hair! I went to my cousins salon (Salon XS) and she cut it for me. Spencer took my before and after photos....what a guy! So now Spencer and I both have nice summer haircuts!
Spencer's Haircut
Spencer was very supportive
of me chopping all my hair off. He said he would chop his hair off too! So, I gave him a mohawk. He enjoyed it for a day or two then decided to shave it off. He now has a nice summer do.

My Easter Tulips
My red Easter Tulips are beautiful! Don't you think so too? My awesome dad gave me the tulips. He bought them for all the girls in the family (there are only 4 of us out of 9 boys.) I love the flowers. I am so grateful for such a patient, kind, loving dad who is always willing to teach me. In elementary school I remember always doing reports on "My Hero." I remember kids picking Superman or Batman...figures like that. I on the other hand always chose my dad. My dad is the greatest guy alive (well, it is a toss up between him and Spencer I guess.) He has taught me so much and he is always there for me ready to help me with anything. He never gets angry with me or frustrated with me when I need him to re-teach me the same thing over and over. I feel so blessed to have a Dad like him. Thank You dad, you are the best!!

Bullriding at Rawhide
On Friday March 21st, Spencer and I took my 2 nephews (Tyler and Riley) to Bullriding. Tyler is the photo on the left. Riley is on the bottom. The photo on top left is Tyler and Riley anxiously waiting for the bullriding to start. We went because the Easter Bunny was going to ride a bull. It was fun. The Easter Bunny came around and gave all the kids easter eggs with candy. Spencer took them to the petting ranch to pet the goats and see a camel etc. I hope they enjoyed it.
My Most Recent Creative Invention
Ok. So a month or two ago Spencer and I were in a wood store with so many endless possibilities. Of course when I am in a store like that my mind will not shut off. So, in the bargain corner I found these "bed post topper" things and I would not stop until I figured something out for them. I thought and thought... That is it! I had figured it out. My grandma...an artist among other things...who I admire very very much and someday hope to acquire her attributes told me and my mother that things go well together in threes. So three it was. My original idea was that it would be the cutest decoration for a baby's room. Since I have no babies, I displayed it on the wall up the stairs. Anyways, I took my "bed post topper" things home and painted them white. Then I put a button on the flat end that needed "sprucing." Then I took three photos and puched holes in them and put ribbon through the holes and some brads to hold the ribbon in place. I tied the photos on the "bed post topper" things and TaDa! It was finished. The whole project cost me only $6 or $7 dollars. I was so proud of myself. hahaha

Rhino Adventure
On saturday March 15, 2008 Spencer and I took his mom for a rhino ride at Queen Valley. Not even five minutes after we were there Mixie got cactus all over her nose. So we spent an hour trying to get it out and gave up because she was putting up a huge fight. On the ride home I was able to pull most of them out because she was so tired of running all over in the water and mud. Spencer's mom said she enjoyed it. We tried to get her to ride the 4 wheeler we took but she wouldn't. She said she was content being the passenger of the rhino. Spencer was able to shoot his 45. He even got Elaine (his mom) to shoot it. I however, refused.
Spencer and I have been shoveling a lot of rock at work lately. Sounds like fun huh? Before we left one day we decided to see what Mixie would think of the wheel barrow. She was not enjoying it. She was very upset. We even tried putting Harley in the wheel barrow and he was probably thinking we were crazy. No animals were harmed during this photo shoot..or any others! : haha
Fishing Mixie
Mixie loves to go fishing with Spencer and I. We went a few days ago at the canal and she would trot as close as she can to the edge of the canal. Spencer hated this because she would scare all the fish away. I thought it was funny and cute. I caught a couple of baby catfish and Spencer caught one so big it broke the line and got away. Mixie just loves to be in all the action...she does not miss a thing.
My Valentine's Day balloons
Spencer surprised me with balloons on Valentine's Day which put a huge smile on my face! After enjoying them for a week or so I decided it was time for them to go. Before they were thrown away Spencer and I could not resist torturing Mixie with them. We tied the balloons on her collar. She hated them and would hardly even move with them on. It was hilarious but so sad all at the same time.

The New Truck
This truck is awesome. I love it! It is much better than the tacoma we had. Now there is room for Mixie and room to actually move! I am excited to have a "real" truck! Although it was stupid to get it at the time we did....now we have to deal with our mistake. So, hopefully we will like it for a long time.

Airspace Museum and Zoo
This week Spencer's dad with his wife as well as Spencer's brother and family were visiting. While they were here we had a lot of fun. A couple of the exciting things we did were visiting the Pima Airspace Museum (I think is the name) as well as the zoo. Spencer saw a lot of different helicopters which he enjoyed. All the animals were so cute. I was amazed at how big the turtles were. Of course I loved the zebras! When I saw the zebras I thought of the similarities between my carpet and the real animal. haha
Spencer and his dad and brother really enjoyed feeding the sting rays at the zoo.

Miss You Colors
I am sad to report that Colors(the cat) is no longer with us. On January 28th she was put down. All day on that day I was crying off and on and felt so terrible. I hope she is not in so much pain now and I hope she has good memories of my family.
Monster Jam
On January 26th my whole family went to Monster Jams. It was a blast. My brother Matt and his wife Sara gave everyone in the family tickets for christmas. So very kind of them, don't you think? The photo on the left is the only one I got with all 4 of my nephews and my brother Matt... I know it is not the greatest. The photo on the right is my cute nephew Tuff with his headphones on so the monster trucks do not seem so loud.

Sandunes
Colors
I will be sad when she is gone. She will leave quite a legacy.
Mixie
Mixie will be one year old in Feb.
Spencer wanted a Lab and I wanted a Chow...so Mixie is half lab and half chow. She chews up everything from socks, to Spencer's wallet, to tumbleweeds....you name it she eats it. We are having a hard time teaching her manners, hopefully she grows out of puppy stage soon because she is out of control!
Kitty
Kitty is about 1 1/2 or 2 years old. He runs and hides when company comes over or when he hears my blow dryer or the vacuum or plastic sacks. haha He only likes to be held just after he has woken up from a nap.
Harley
Harley is really my parent's dog but he likes to visit Spencer and I all the time on our side of the silos! He is the sweetest, cutest, and well behaved dog I know.
