My Easter Tulips
My red Easter Tulips are beautiful! Don't you think so too? My awesome dad gave me the tulips. He bought them for all the girls in the family (there are only 4 of us out of 9 boys.) I love the flowers. I am so grateful for such a patient, kind, loving dad who is always willing to teach me. In elementary school I remember always doing reports on "My Hero." I remember kids picking Superman or Batman...figures like that. I on the other hand always chose my dad. My dad is the greatest guy alive (well, it is a toss up between him and Spencer I guess.) He has taught me so much and he is always there for me ready to help me with anything. He never gets angry with me or frustrated with me when I need him to re-teach me the same thing over and over. I feel so blessed to have a Dad like him. Thank You dad, you are the best!!

Bullriding at Rawhide
On Friday March 21st, Spencer and I took my 2 nephews (Tyler and Riley) to Bullriding. Tyler is the photo on the left. Riley is on the bottom. The photo on top left is Tyler and Riley anxiously waiting for the bullriding to start. We went because the Easter Bunny was going to ride a bull. It was fun. The Easter Bunny came around and gave all the kids easter eggs with candy. Spencer took them to the petting ranch to pet the goats and see a camel etc. I hope they enjoyed it.
My Most Recent Creative Invention
Ok. So a month or two ago Spencer and I were in a wood store with so many endless possibilities. Of course when I am in a store like that my mind will not shut off. So, in the bargain corner I found these "bed post topper" things and I would not stop until I figured something out for them. I thought and thought... That is it! I had figured it out. My grandma...an artist among other things...who I admire very very much and someday hope to acquire her attributes told me and my mother that things go well together in threes. So three it was. My original idea was that it would be the cutest decoration for a baby's room. Since I have no babies, I displayed it on the wall up the stairs. Anyways, I took my "bed post topper" things home and painted them white. Then I put a button on the flat end that needed "sprucing." Then I took three photos and puched holes in them and put ribbon through the holes and some brads to hold the ribbon in place. I tied the photos on the "bed post topper" things and TaDa! It was finished. The whole project cost me only $6 or $7 dollars. I was so proud of myself. hahaha

Rhino Adventure
On saturday March 15, 2008 Spencer and I took his mom for a rhino ride at Queen Valley. Not even five minutes after we were there Mixie got cactus all over her nose. So we spent an hour trying to get it out and gave up because she was putting up a huge fight. On the ride home I was able to pull most of them out because she was so tired of running all over in the water and mud. Spencer's mom said she enjoyed it. We tried to get her to ride the 4 wheeler we took but she wouldn't. She said she was content being the passenger of the rhino. Spencer was able to shoot his 45. He even got Elaine (his mom) to shoot it. I however, refused.
Spencer and I have been shoveling a lot of rock at work lately. Sounds like fun huh? Before we left one day we decided to see what Mixie would think of the wheel barrow. She was not enjoying it. She was very upset. We even tried putting Harley in the wheel barrow and he was probably thinking we were crazy. No animals were harmed during this photo shoot..or any others! : haha
Fishing Mixie
Mixie loves to go fishing with Spencer and I. We went a few days ago at the canal and she would trot as close as she can to the edge of the canal. Spencer hated this because she would scare all the fish away. I thought it was funny and cute. I caught a couple of baby catfish and Spencer caught one so big it broke the line and got away. Mixie just loves to be in all the action...she does not miss a thing.
My Valentine's Day balloons
Spencer surprised me with balloons on Valentine's Day which put a huge smile on my face! After enjoying them for a week or so I decided it was time for them to go. Before they were thrown away Spencer and I could not resist torturing Mixie with them. We tied the balloons on her collar. She hated them and would hardly even move with them on. It was hilarious but so sad all at the same time.
