Vultures or Hawks or ?
After our field was plowed (a couple months ago) I noticed these "hawks" flying around. Then I saw them all over our field. Spencer went out to investigate and came back to tell me he thought they are vultures and that what they were all circling the property for all the "road kill" bunnies that were innocently killed while the field was being plowed. So I took my camera out and tried to get some shots of these creatures. I could not get very close but there were close to 20 of these monsters flying around and devouring their finds in the field.

Vacation To Utah
We left on Tuesday June 30 around 6 am with Kitty and Mixie. We drove to Spencer's dad's house in 10 hours(Fillmore, UT.) Kitty only meowed obnoxiously for the first 30 minutes of driving. He hid under the back seat the whole time and only came out a couple times. He hates car rides. Mixie was excited becuase we told her she was going to see Morgan (Spencer's dads' chocolate lab.) Once there we were exhausted but Spencer still had enough energy with only 3 hours of sleep to go fishing with his dad. I stayed home and helped make a birthday cake. A few of our highlights were: lawn mower races, demolition derby, horse races, hometown parade, Bryce canyon, "this is the place monument," fireworks, 4 wheeling in the mountains, and fishing.

Our "big" baby white doves
I need to post a decent picture of the "babies" because last time you saw them they were hideous looking. They have grown a ton and Spencer and I have enjoyed watching them grow day by day and watching how every day they fly further and have stronger wings. They do not like going back into their home though. It takes Spencer and I about 30 minutes to get them in after they have already been outside for hours. I have to spray water over the roof to get them off and then they fly to their home roof and then to the fence and here there and everywhere until we are able to catch them and put them back in their home. Exhausting.
Then..... this is what Mixie does.... She wants to eat them so badly. She stares them down and watches their every move... I am so afraid of the birds landing on the ground and her getting one. We have a house full of chaos........

White Doves
Spencer and I recently embarked on a new adventure.
That of raising and training and releasing white doves.
We will release the doves at weddings, funerals, birthdays, etc..... so if you know anyone who is interested, let us know!!
These pictures are on the way home after picking them up. They have a much better home now at out house and they are doing well. Messy, messy birds but doing well. The babies have grown a lot and have filled in with more feathers.
The sounds the doves make are soothing and enjoyable (to me atleast)
Garden
After watering the garden this morning I realized that the carrots will not make it and the swiss chard has been eaten by bugs. Weeds and watermelon have taken over the whole garden though. Tomatos might make it and the corn is looking good.
We put a lot of effort, money and time into this darn thing so I am hoping something will make it through this heat.
The bare photo is the very beginning of the growing season so the plants have grown A LOT. The photo with growing plants is even out dated. The tomatos are out of control compared to this picture.
Hopefully we will have many to share with you in the near future!!

Desert Botanical Garden
I was fortunate enough to go to the Desert Botanical Garden Chihully exhibit with my mom, dad, and family friend Jan. Chihully is the man who did the handblown glass all over the garden.
It was sooo amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone.
It has many great photo opportunities and you learn a lot. I was in awe at all the plants and all the herbs in the herb garden and the glass sculptures were out of this world. The garden describes itself as a museum of living plants. My mind was going crazy at all the beautiful plants, and sights to see.
I have too many favorite photos and can not choose which to post so guess what?!

Luke Air Force Base Air Show
Spencer and I went to the air show on saturday March 21.
From leaving the house and parking...I think it took about 2 or more hours.
Then the line to get in the base was atleast 1 mile long in an "S" shape.
Spencer and I got seperated but luckily our phones finally let a call come through and we got a hold of each other.
We brought my nephew Tuff, and my brother Matt and his other 2 boys met us there a little later.
I got a sunburn on my legs, arms and face. It is itchy and flaking and hurts.
Sounds like we enjoyed ourselves huh?
Well, we were able to find Spencer's sisters so we had family to hang out with.
The air show was amazing. Spencer enjoyed watching the helicopter flying upside down and every which direction!
