Christmas Day!!!!!!!!

Spencer and I at his side of the family's christmas party!
This was our warm and toasty fire on Christmas morning! I am sure many of you enjoyed the same! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Spencer braved the freezing, and rainy christmas day on his Harley Davidson (which I am sure was his favorite gift)!

Spencer and I were very blessed this year to have such a wondereful Christmas. We not just received many nice things that we love but got to spend time with family. Spencer's brother Donovan and his wife drove down from Colorado to surprise us all, which was a lot of fun!
We are very grateful for such wonderful family and friends!

Face Painting

Who says face painting is only for kids? I had a blast. On Saturday the 13th Spencer and I went to Chester's Harley Davidson and they were having a b-b-q outside so we got free lunch which was really good. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, all the fixings including sauerkraut and chips and a drink! Then we ventured in the store and we even got our picture with Santa! I had so much fun because I have not had a picture with Santa for years. On the way out is when I got my face painted. I felt like a little kid doing all that but it was so much fun so I dedcided that I need to have fun more often!!!! These pictures were taken right out our front door!

Barn Destruction

Well, for those of you who know me well you will remember the barn I used to live in on Greenfield road. It was awesome living there. My mom had boutiques 4 times a year and she was the boutique queen. Everyone knew her (and still does) and there was never a better boutique than the ones my mom had.

The bedroom I had was the best ever! I felt so special because my brother Matt who is an awesome framer/superintendant built it for me. I had a bed in the wall, a loft, built in desk, and most importantly.....a huge closet! A large enough closet that it even had a window! Man I was lucky! Anyways, I have lots of good memories at the Barn.

Eventually it was time to move on and my parents sold it to a lutheran church. The church contacted my parents a year or so later and told them that it will cost too much money to make the barn up to code for a church and all that legal lingo. So, they paid my parents to take the barn down.

SO NOW FOR THE SECOND TIME IT WAS TORN DOWN. Yes, as a family we first tore it down in Iowa, brought it home and rebuilt it. Now, we have torn it down again and it will be rebuilt eventually into a home! CRAZY,HUH? What a history for a 1906 barn.

So here are a few photos of the crazy process.

2008 MONA VIE convention

Convention was totally awesome! We had a great time and we now have even more belief in MONAVIE than we previously did. We are excited for the opportunity to help reduce the #1 leading cause of death in AMERICA, Heart Disease. Mona Vie "PULSE", a HEART HEALTHY Product which allows us to make the following FDA Claim: "Foods containing at least 0.4 grams per serving of plant sterols, eaten twice a day with meals for a daily intake of at least 0.8 grams and as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease." Two servings (4 ounces) of Mona Vie Pulse contains 0.8 grams of plant sterols.
I absolutely love that fact I am getting the antioxidant equivalent of 13 servings of fruit and vegetables every single day with just 4 ounces of juice. If you have not checked out our website, you owe it to yourself to spend a little bit of time researching Mona Vie. www.thegreatproduct.com/acaibeverage. Invest in your health and well being. Here are a few photos from convention!

Utah Trip

Spencer and I went to visit his dad for a few days before and a few days after the 2008 MONA VIE convention. We had fun and it was great to get out of the torching weather here in AZ. Enjoy the pictures.

Rainy day

Here in AZ we do not get many of these says so when we do, we like to go outside and play in it. Spencer gets "geared" up with his goggles and all to venture out into the stormy weather. Mixie likes it more than Spencer. She will stand in it and run and play all day in it if she was allowed. The visibility was so poor I am glad we were not driving in it.

Watermelons

Spencer's garden produced a lot of watermelon. So much in fact that we could not eat it all. We ended up giving a lot of it away! Spencer was proud of his watermelon and this one had to of been one of the largest I have ever seen. Look at the size of it compared to the rubiks cube!

Ethan's B-day Party

Ethan- the birthday boy, the man of the hour, the money diver, etc. etc.

Spencer and Tuff in the cove

Spencer and I brought Tuff (my nephew) with us to Ethan's (Spencer's nephew) birthday party. Tuff was not too sure of the water but I think he enjoyed himself! Ethan had fun diving for money that his grandpa was throwing into the water.

Family Cinder Trip

Mom taking dad's four wheeler for a ride. She thought it was a lot of fun.
Bernie slept 65% of the time b/c his paws hurt from walking too much on the cinder rocks.
Tuff is a great rider. Almost too good for his age!

* The weather was wonderful in Flagstaff at the cinders. We had a good time. I wish we could have more family rhino outings.*

Beer Can Chicken

A few months ago, my Uncle John, who enjoys trying new things and never following recipes while cooking; made my mom, dad, Spencer and I and himself some beer can chicken. It was hilarious watching him prepare it and cook it on the grill. After the process of making beer can chicken was through and it was time to taste we all came to the conclusion that it was pretty good. Maybe an 8 on a scale of 10.

MONA VIE

Spencer and I love this new juice we have been drinking. It is called Mona Vie. It has 19 fruits with the number one being the Acai berry. It is amazing the nutritional benefits this juice holds in 2 to 4 ounces. It is said to be a superfood which I believe is very accurate. It is extremely rich in antioxidants. The list goes on and on about the nutrients MONA VIE has and the benefits we receive from drinking it. Check out our website. www.thegreatproduct.com/acaibeverage

Gardening Kitty??

Kitty never ventures too far. He usually stays in the house and looks out the door. When he is feeling brave he ventures out the door about 2 feet. When he is really brave he may go exploring...but of course this is not too often. Well, Spencer and I were out until about 12:00 a.m......MIDNIGHT gardening and it was a very nice night so we left the back door open to cool down the house. We were planting seeds and guess who came to visit?! Kitty. I was in shock and could not believe that Kitty had come all the way out the back door all the way to the garden. Mixie thought it was great chasing poor ol' Kitty. Kitty was meowing and running and loving the outdoor midnight gardening. Although he was sure to be the first back into the house because he has been locked out a time or two. haha

The First Tilling Job

Spencer bought a Rototiller (I have no idea how to spell it) and is so excited about gardening. He made our garden bigger than it was last year and just can not wait to grow our own vegetables. A gardening pilot with Kitty as a sidekick! Gotta Love It

The Newly Invented/Re-designed Bedroom Door

Well, I am not sure what I was thinking. I started the project without too much planning before hand. I usually like to plan things out before I do it. . . especially when I will have to look at it every day. So, I "scrapbooked" my bedroom door. There are no photos on the door yet but maybe soon. Take a look at the before and after photo of the door. Interesting huh?

ACT 3... Where is Taley?

Spencer and I took Taley for a run next to Spencer's school. Spencer always sees rabbits near the airport and we take Mixie over there to chase the rabbits. Taley has so much energy so we thought a run would get rid of it all. We were WRONG!!! Taley enjoyed running through the fields, she looked like a deer jumping through the alfalfa fields, it was pretty funny.

Mixie's new toy

Mixie loves her new toy. I think she loves it so much because it is almost as big as she is. I bought it for a dollar at a garage sale! The new toy is named bunny because if we called it Rabbit she would start running and hunting for a real rabbit. Bunny and Mixie get along great. They spend a lot of time outdoors together.

Spencer the cook

Spencer has been cooking a lot lately and I love it!!!! How many of you have seen your husband in the kitchen baking/cooking with an APRON??? Classic.
Spencer is a very good cook (He watches a lot of cooking shows on tv)

ACT 2......Can You Find Kitty?

Poor Kitty. Kitty is not handling the new dog Taley very well. Kitty is always hiding and very frightened. Taley has a very good nose and does try to hunt down Kitty. One day, I was doing some dishes and heard a noise from the other side of the house so I look up and see that my palm tree is moving. I investigate a little closer and find that Kitty has climbed my fake palm tree to try to find a safe spot. He had gotten so frightened of even being in the same room as the hunter Taley. I tried to remove Kitty but he had an extrememly firm grip on the tree. He tore up the tree a bit which I am not happy about. I felt angry, sad, and like laughing all at the same time. I was glad I was able to get it on camera because If I tried to tell Spencer what happened after he got home, he probably would not have believed me. The camera does not lie!

Congratulations Spencer!!!

Today is the day Spencer officially became a Private Pilot. He received his Private Pilot's License today after passing a test with a guy from the FAA. We are so excited for this part of his schooling to be done. We hope he can finish school within a year. I am hoping for shorter.... so we will see. What a load off of Spencer's shoulders. I know he is excited and relieved to be done with this section of school. I am as well. Congratulations my Husband/PILOT!!!
